Potcake Dogs
The Turks and Caicos are know for being a beautiful beach destination and a top SCUBA diving location. They are also know for the large number of stray dogs that roam the islands, referred to as potcake dogs. The locals consider these dogs a nuisance, while the tourists, like me, couldn’t help but to pet all potcakes that approached them. After a week on Grand Turk, I’ve developed a soft spot for the potcakes, and one day, I would like to adopt a potcake puppy.
Here are three dogs that approached us one evening on the beach.
